Leading your peers to a leadership role | Sandy Taylor
In the years i have been a consumer representative, (7yrs) Iand moving forward each year, watching our CAG and our GEMS group grow from thrength to strength, continues to drive me further to gain even more training more tailored skills so that I can maintain a very high standard of consumer/carer participation in a totally non tokenistic way.
I am very interested in leadership, because it has potential to help me continue my journey and in so doing will also assist others to grow and become leaders in what they see as their expertise and interest.
We all need to take a risk, to enable us to move the next step forward.

I believe that leadership is vital to strengthen self, and strengthen others who may be floundering only because of direction.
I am a consumer/ carer representative, and I believe I too need to add to my skills.
leadership and speaking publicly are some of the things I find are a must to surge ahead, and in being taken seriously.

WHAT AN HONOUR TO BE INVOLVED IN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT GROUP WOULD HELP ME GROW AND GAIN MORE CONFIDENCE IN MYSELF AND IN WORKING WITH OTHER PEOPLE. I PERSONALLY FEEL I HAVE ALOT TO OFFER TO THE GROUP AND MOST IMPORTANTLY ALOT TO LEARN TOO. AND FOR ALL TO HAVE A VOICE IN MOVING ON WOULD BE GREAT!!
