Day to Day Living Capacity Building Project

Day to Day Living (D2DL) Capacity Project Update

Community Mental Health Australia (CMHA) has initiated a 2 year national project that will facilitate the identification and dissemination of good practice among D2DL Program providers. CMHA is the national body formed by the state community mental health peak bodies across Australia.
The initial round of D2DL forums are planned for February/ March 2011.
95% of D2DL sites have registered to attend the forums.

Future forums will be open to service providers from other community mental health services.

Project Administrator Danielle Flanagan commenced 1 November. Danielle’s role includes assisting service providers to use the web based platform once developed.

Project Manager Melody Edwardson is conducting telephone surveys with all D2DL service providers to aid in planning forums and establishing a web based platform.

Responses so far indicate a strong willingness to participate in forums and connect with other D2DL service providers. Importantly respondents so far expect the project to have a positive impact on service delivery to consumers.

Forums will be held in all states February/ March 2011. Date claimers will be sent to all D2DL providers by the end of this year. Please find attached below also
