One in one in 5 Australians experienced mental illness in the last 12 months. Half of us will experience a mental health disorder at some point in our lives (ABS 2008).

There are many more friends, colleagues, parents and children, who are affected by someone they care about, experiencing a mental health issue.

Queensland Alliance for Mental Health Inc. is an independent charity which represents community organisations working in mental health. We were granted Health Promotion Charity Status by the Australian Taxation Office in 2010.

We’re working towards a community that values differences, promotes well-being and creates a sense of belonging. We hope to soon actively and independently raise funds for projects that fulfill this mission.
