Bayside Initiatives Group is a consumer run mental health service in the Redlands/ Bayside area providing mutual support, social and personal development and leisure and recreational opportunities for members who have experienced a mental illness.
BIG operates from a recovery perspective and is committed to the belief in the skill, knowledge and abilities of people who have experienced a mental illness.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced engagement coordinator who will encourage and support the members of BIG to take ownership and leadership within the program and to develop personally towards their own recovery.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the recovery philosophy and consumer operated services. They will be an excellent leader and be able to juggle the competing priorities of funding body requirements, service delivery, member support and growth of the organisation.
