Mental Health Law Clinic

Every Thursday, QPILCH runs a Mental Health Law Clinic. This is a joint project of QPILCH and the University of Queensland, to provide advice and assistance to people experiencing mental health related problems.

Who do we help? People with mental illness who require legal assistance.

This may be in relation to:
- a hearing before the Mental Health Review Tribunal;
- Centrelink or other social security issues;
- Consumer issues;
- Debts, loan agreements and bankruptcy;
- Discrimination;
- Employment;
- Fines, infringement notices and enforcement warrants;
- Guardianship or administration issues;
- Housing and tenancy issues;
- Police powers.
