September 2005 edition of the Queensland Alliance Newsletter
Download the newsletter and read the messages from the Alliance’s President (page 3), or the Alliance’s Executive Director (page 5), or Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Mental Health (page 8), or Queensland’s new Director of Mental Health (page 9), or Queensland’s new Attorney General, or the keynote speakers from our speaker event (page 7).
The message seems to be getting clearer and clearer – it is time for change – a message slowly echoing into a rumble throughout Alliance membership.
Positive messages have been coming back to us through the media thanks to the ‘Go The Journey Together’ Brisbane to Cairns bike riders (page 14).
With any luck, this year’s Mental Health Week (page 16) will produce more positive stories.
Also in this addition Jeff Cheverton reports on the Mental Health Council of Australia (page 12), we profile ISIS - Centre for Women’s Action on Eating Issues (page 17) and People Surviving Psychiatry (page 18).
